All these years, we have been truly privileged (and we do not use the term lightly) to work with wonderful, wonderful people. Each person, every couple and each family with whom we have worked has a very special place in our hearts.
Every time one of us receives a thank you note after officiating a ceremony from either the couple, or from one of their parents or even a guest at their wedding for that matter, we feel grateful. We do not take this lightly.
It had been said that it is important to do what you love. This has definitely been true for us. We adore working with people, writing liturgy and officiating.
Our couples keep in touch long after the wedding has come and gone and that is the icing on the cake. We receive photos taken in the hospital right after they have delivered their babies, and have the honor of writing and officiating ceremonies for their precious new arrivals. We’ve been called upon to work with and officiate for several weddings within the families of our couples for their siblings, cousins, etc. At times of loss, we have written and presided at funerals and memorials for their family members.
With their joyful permission, we share these photos of Ashley and Nicholas Carmichael. Norma officiated their ceremony of marriage in September of 2008 and blessed their first son Wyatt in August of 2011. A blessing ceremony for their newest baby son Sam, is planned for this summer!
